The Morningstar ProStar is one of the more efficient, medium sized, low cost charge controllers on the market.   With up to a 30 amp input and a 12 or 24 nominal volt configuration, this controller offers both flexibility and efficiency.  The Prostar offers Pulse Width Modulation for long-term battery life. This feature regulates how much power goes into your batteries depending on your current battery levels which increases your long-term battery life.   At a voltage accuracy of 0.5, this controller monitors battery life and charge controller better than any other Pulse Width Modulation controller on the market.  The ProStar controller also includes Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD).  Low Voltage Disconnect automatically shuts off your loads when your batteries get low, thereby saving your long-term battery life.  The ProStar can also be paralleled up to 300 amps, so you only need to add another controller, not replace this one, for later solar panel additions.
