When Product Development Partners (PDP) founder Don Fisher’s previous employer began to move production overseas, Don devoted himself full-time to PDP and launched what would be one of Newton, Iowa’s most successful businesses. Since then, PDP has cultivated a reputation for its high quality work, creating prototypes and small production runs whenever customers need them.
When PDP first met with a Simpleray Renewable Energy Consultant, they were skeptical if solar would fit into their business. However, after looking at the numbers, Don, an avid outdoorsman who appreciates all that nature can provide, found that solar gave PDP the opportunity to save a significant amount of natural resources as well as cut down on their operating costs.
When they took a look at the numbers and how an array would affect cash flow, PDP discovered that solar was the perfect way to use their available resources. Between the tax credits and accelerated depreciation, PDP secured $189,602 in tax savings and they’re expected to save over $21,000 per year in energy costs. The array will pay for itself in only four years.
