Solar power is a simple way to lower your electric bill and reduce your tax liability. There is currently a federal and Iowa solar tax credit that are worth a combined 45% of the cost of a new solar array. However, 2019 is the final year to take advantage of the largest solar tax credits before they begin to phase out.
With all the incentives available, the net cost of your system could be reduced by up to 80%. There aren’t a lot of assets that can pay for themselves in just a few years the way solar can.
Solar arrays often have a very short payback period. In conjunction with their long lifespan (up to 40 years) that leaves decades for you to enjoy the savings.
We’re all obligated to pay our taxes. But with Iowa solar tax credits, you can take the money you owe the government and divert it to a productive investment for your home or business instead.
We're Iowa's solar company. When you're ready to switch to solar, we ensure the array we install is built to last. Our industry-leading warranties, dependable customer support, and trusty production guarantees mean we’re with you for the long haul. You’ll reap the benefits of clean energy for many years to come.
Simpleray has been in business for over ten years and is a leading solar installer in the Midwest. We were ranked the top solar contractor in Iowa by Solar Power World and have happy customers across the Heartland.

The Solar Tax Credit will still be around after 2019, but it’s value gradually reduces each year until 2022. If you want to pay as little in taxes as possible, 2019 is your last chance to do so.
Iowa residents and businesses also have access to a state tax credit. In 2019, it’s worth 15% of the cost of your array (up to pre-determined caps), but will start to shrink alongside the federal credit.
We expect a rush of installation requests for every Iowa solar installer. Customers that move to purchase from an Iowa solar company earlier in 2019 will have no trouble receiving the full 30% tax credit, but last minute purchases, may not get scheduled in time to be installed by the end of 2019. That means late installations could be stuck with a smaller tax credit.
